THE TRAMS

About Perth's Trams

An alternative to the normal public transport available in Perth is the Trams. The trams are a great way to tour the city and to see local tourist attractions. These replicas of the 1899 trams that once served Perth run through Perth City, Fremantle Kings Park and on to the Burswood Casino.

Tours start from the Fremantle Town Hall and may last as long as 90 minutes with full commentary pointing out shopping areas, historic buildings and general places of interest to passengers. If you should want to stop and have a look at an attraction in more detail at any point during the tours, you can get off and join another tram at a later time on the route. Tram stops are clearly marked and can be found throughout the city or at the Barrack Street Jetty.
